“Savage That” Dartmouth Native American Students Brilliant Video

Check out this brief, to the point video by Native American students at Dartmouth offering a blunt commentary on the perpetuation by some of the Dartmouth Indian logo.  The use of music is also quite effective.  Yes, the white character is a stereotype, but his being clueless  is essential to the point.

As a graduate of Amherst College whose namesake/mascot Lord Jeffery Amherst advocated early germ warfare (smallpox infected blankets), I cannot really claim the higher ground in the mascot department.  However,  I would like to see a takeoff on this video featuring Chief Wahoo.

For more commentary go to  Native Appropriations, the blog where I found the video.
